Creative Thinking
Working from our design studio, rather than a retail shop, we specialise in delivering interior design purely on a project basis. This gives us true independence as we are not tied to any particular suppliers or sample book ranges, and allows us to use our creativity to the full to create an interior tailored specifically for you. We devote all our time and attention to doing what we are best at - creating wonderful interiors.
All design work is carried out meticulously by owner/designer Joanne McDonald herself, rather than being handed down to junior designers.
Logical Planning
Like you, we are also unique. Established in 1999, our interior design team brings to their creative talents lots of practical experience – we know how things work and are clear about structures, planning and construction work. So not only do we create interiors that are beautiful, we find ingenious, creative solutions to the challenges that rooms can often present.
We will source and install the finest materials, furniture and fittings and will, if required, monitor construction work on site to make sure your designs are brought to life. All of the diverse elements of your project will be experty pulled together and co-ordinated by us.
You are In Control
You will at all times have control of the design decisions and outlays of your project. All work, designs, purchases and costs are authorised by you prior to start of each phase. At Luma Interiors we've brought together a highly creative, skilled and intelligent team with a shared passion for creating outstanding interiors tailored for each client and delivered with sound practical understanding.

Joanne McDonald – Owner and Interior Designer a passionate belief that by working closely with clients and understanding their inner ideas and aspirations she could transform their environments in a way that gives them years of pleasure and enjoyment.. Joanne has proven time and time again that her creative talent, inherited from her artist father, together with her experience and honours degree in engineering is a combination that delivers consistent and inspiring results. Joanne is a full member of the British Institute of Interior Design Association, BIID (formerly BIDA).
Maggie McKie – Purchasing, Orders, Invoicing and Accounts orders all purchases and makes sure delivery schedules and invoices work with real fluency. Financial planning, purchasing from a wide range of suppliers and keeping clients abreast at each stage is a challenge that Maggie relishes.
